Jeep 4 Door CJ5 Project

Jeepsters is are currently working on a stretching a 1980 CJ5 as well as finishing this Jeep in a popular schemes (this is all the hints you get for now). But we will post our progress as we proceed. I know you are saying why stretch a CJ5. There are a bunch of reasons mainly to do with getting old.

Let me start by saying I owned 3 CJ5s in my 20's and 30's. I loved them, back then I could get in and out of them - and rolled 2 of them having fun. I'm now in my 40s and have 2 girls 5 and 7. Here's why you stretch your beloved CJ5. First your stomach just doesn't fit in the small space anymore. And the seats do not go back in a CJ5. Not anymore! After stretching, both front seats can go as far back as the seat tracks will allow as well as recline. Still leaving tons of leg room for the second row. Number two, safety...the longer wheel base gives the vehicle stability as well as increased ride comfort. And third because I've never seen one and the prototype photos look bad-ass.

Enough talk, let's see how this project turns out.
